This delicious recipe is a favorite of mine. With sour cream, meat, crust, some spices, and a bit more, this will make you want to savor every bite.
Ingredients
1 lb ground lamb or beef
1/2 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
1 lime
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp of cumin
2 heaping tsps of coriander
1 tsp of kosher salt
1/2 tsp of cayenne
1 tsp of black pepper
1 cup of sour cream or plain yogurt
1 frozen pie shell
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 C). While preparing filling, pre-bake pie crust
- Heat oil in frying pan. Grill onions until golden.
- Add meat and spices and heat until the meat is cooked through.
- Squeeze lime over meat mixture.
- Remove from heat. Mix in yogurt or sour cream.
- Fill pie crust with mixture.
- Bake in pre-heated oven for 25 minutes.
