Moroccan Meat Pie

This delicious recipe is a favorite of mine. With sour cream, meat, crust, some spices, and a bit more, this will make you want to savor every bite.


1 lb ground lamb or beef

1/2 medium yellow onion, finely chopped

1 lime

2 garlic cloves

1 tsp of cumin

2 heaping tsps of coriander

1 tsp of kosher salt

1/2 tsp of cayenne

1 tsp of black pepper

1 cup of sour cream or plain yogurt

1 frozen pie shell


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 C). While preparing filling, pre-bake pie crust
  2. Heat oil in frying pan. Grill onions until golden.
  3. Add meat and spices and heat until the meat is cooked through.
  4. Squeeze lime over meat mixture.
  5. Remove from heat. Mix in yogurt or sour cream.
  6. Fill pie crust with mixture.
  7. Bake in pre-heated oven for 25 minutes.
  8. The most important thing: Enjoy!
